About Me
So, the quick basics. I was born in Houston, but when I was two my parents moved up to Evergreen, Colorado, and that is pretty much where I grew up. I went to D'Evelyn High School (now in Littleton), did my undergrad at the University of Colorado in Boulder, studied abroad at the American University in Cairo, moved to Chicago when I was 25 for a Master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies, got the Masters, returned to Cairo for another year at AUC, and am now back in Chicago as a Ph.D. student in Arabic and Persian language and literature.

That's school. As for my personal description, I'm tall, lanky, curly-haired, and very near-sighted. I've played music most of my life, first with violin, then other instruments, including guitar, tenor guitar, bass, and setar. I love music dearly and while I never really did it full-time, it's always been an important part of my life.
Chris Daring - my fiddle teacher's site
Xiren - the rock band I played in briefly, based in Denver
Kazem Davoudian - my setar teacher, based in Washington DC
h a o m a - for Afternights and Tastes Like Burning
Brother Wren - for my current projects
That's music. Another interest of mine is blogging and writing. I kept a blog on Livejournal for a number of years, but that's been fizzling. I also want to keep up a Persian language blog, which will soon forthcoming.
General links
I guess the final thing to put up would be just a list of all my other sites in rapid order. Not all of them are equally up to date, but I try to maintain them with some degree of regularity.
